We were traveling with our daughter who had just undergone a major back surgery in Vancouver and needed to get her to Edmonton where we live to recover. This was an extremely challenging day for our daughter. The Fairmont at YVR offered us a place to decompress for one night after being in the hospital then make our way to Edmonton. I cannot say enough about the staff who all contributed generously and kindly to assisting us during a very difficult time. I love staying at the Fairmont YVR! Its very clean, convenient, comfortable and the service is second to none! It will always be our go to when travelling out of YVR! I could go there just for a holiday! I love it so much :)

Conveniently located and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Didn’t have time to try the restaurant as arrived late with early departure but it looked very inviting. Would definitely stay again in the future. Appreciated the help with baggage storage ready on luggage cart for early departure.

On my recent trip to Whistler I stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport twice. The first was when I flew in and a week later the night before my outbound flight. Both stays were fantastic. The room was well appointed, clean, and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing! Oh, and the front desk staff people are just so friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay if your catching a flight the next day. As it at the airport it's less stressful to see where to check and catch your flight. The rooms are bright and spaces.If you can afford the Gold rooms it's well worth the extra cost. Every staff member are helpful in making your stay special.

I have stayed at this property ten times over the past two years, primarily because of its convenient airport location and my frequent early-morning flights. The rooms are comfortable and impressively quiet, and the restaurant offers great food and live entertainment in their lounge. During my most recent stay on January 17, 2025, the check-in experience fell short, largely due to issues related to my Accor loyalty status. When the matter appeared unresolved, I requested the name and email of the General Manager, Rudi Heider, and wrote to him that evening outlining my concerns and frustration. What followed was a true master class in customer service excellence. Mr. Heider asked for time to investigate and respond, conducted a thorough investigation and kept me regularly informed throughout the process. Within a few business days, he provided a detailed and thoughtful response that demonstrated a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. His handling of the situation transformed me from frustrated guest into a loyal patron, all within a few business days. This is a hotel I would have recommended in past because of its proximity to both domestic and international terminals, its comfortable, quiet rooms, and its food and beverage options. Now, however, I can recommend this hotel not only because of these reasons, but because of the hotel’s commitment to resolving issues and delivering outstanding guest satisfaction.

A true 5 Star stay…. With a short 7 hr layover, I needed something convenient and comfortable. If you book in advance you will get a good rate, and it will be worth the stay. I’d encourage you also to make sure you don’t have to depart too early like I did. The hotel is a few minutes walk from arrivals, and easy to access. The bed was a true 10/10, super comfy, and it was hard wanting to sleep in a little with a 4am wake up for an international flight. So I told myself if I made a return trip my stay would need to be longer to really enjoy the stay. The room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Staff were helpful and kind. I didn’t get to access all the facilities, but honestly the room was the focus of my stay, and it won’t disappoint. Do yourself a favor and give the YVR Fairmont a try. I’ll be back for sure.

First timer booking the gold floor of this hotel. We had time in our flight schedule to enjoy the amenities so thought we would give it a try. Was super shocked by some of the negative reviews so I don’t know what to expect. Glad we ignored them to make our own opinion. The rooms are spacious and so is the bathroom. Walk in shower, walk in toilet room, large vanity and jetted tub were there for us to enjoy. I am not usually a bathtub person but the bath slats called my name and omg what a wonderful relaxing experience with the mood lighting provided in the bathroom. The common area lounge for gold floor guests was richly appointed with nice lighting and great music. Non alcoholic beverages are available all day ( you can get alcohol for a fee) as are apples, oranges , cookies, pastries, nuts. Appetizers are served between 5-7 and included Maui ribs, meats, cheeses, pastries, cookies, scones, fried rice and other hot items, a selection of salads and other items of deliciousness. The morning breakfast went above and beyond with delicious premade waffles, bacon, chicken sausage, scrambled eggs ( though these appeared to be powdered), cereals, oatmeal, cut fruits, pastries, breads/bagels, and meats and cheeses. Lovely coffees and fairmont teas. Staff keeps the place impeccable and are always available to help and support in a friendly and professional manner. Best decision we made. Set up our travel journey perfectly..and they give you an express pass to get through security quickly … really close to USA and international kiosks..a bit farther from domestic.

The Fairmont Vancouver Airport is an excellent place to stay after a long flight or before an early morning flight. We reserve two deluxe connecting rooms with unbeatable runway views, which is perfect for our kids who are plane enthusiasts. This setup works beautifully for our family of five, offering plenty of beds, ample space, and most importantly, enough bathrooms for everyone. Our kids can happily spend hours watching planes take off and land right from the room. There’s also a sitting area down the hall that offers fantastic runway views, which is a nice bonus. The Globe restaurant downstairs is a great way to start the day with breakfast, and we were delighted when the hotel sent up macarons for our kids to enjoy in the room. We stay here two to three nights each year, soaking in the views and taking the train or Uber into town for delicious food and fun activities. The service is always friendly and top-notch, which is exactly why we return year after year.

I fly to Japan and the USA frequently and I live a few hours away from the airport, so I usually stay at the Fairmont YVR at the beginning or end of my trip. There’s nothing like waking up at your leisure, drinking coffee while watching planes take off and land, and then strolling over to the check-in counters. The rooms here are super comfortable and the views are amazing in every direction, but the staff make all the difference here. Everyone remembers your name and seem genuinely happy to see you. Dmitry, in particular, deserves praise for his warm and friendly service. It’s always a pleasure to see a friendly face before or after a long trip. I always look forward to my stays here and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start or end their trip on a high note.

Fantastic place to stay, well-priced for a 5* hotel. Lots of power points, one on each side of the table. One of the best 5* hotels I've ever been in and on top of that, built into the airport for great access and post/pre-flight stay. Fantastic service and amenities, they even have microwaves on standby they can bring to your room to reheat food you picked up elsewhere. It has a well equipped gym and great in-room dining food. (They don't ask for tip for doing in-room service). I'm not sure if they do this for other hotels, but housekeeping arrange your stuff neatly when they make up their room, which I thought was a nice touch. There are a few nitpicks: no included breakfast, the water current filling the bathtub is not that quick and there TV table has a gap between it and the wall where, if you like to scatter stuff around, can get some random item can fall off the back unnoticed and would be near impossible to get without assistance. Would stay again given the chance.
