The Grand Park Vancouver Airport Hotel generally receives positive reviews, particularly highlighting its convenient location near the airport and helpful staff. However, concerns have been raised regarding cleanliness issues, particularly in bathrooms and hallways, as well as inconsistent shuttle service reliability and occasional scent issues. Several guests praise the staff’s customer service and the overall comfort of the rooms.
Very big thank you to Sharn who let me in an hour early for a day use room. I appreciate the quality of care. Hotel was quite nice and super close to the airport. Shuttle services were very convenient and the area is safe with lots of services and amenities nearby that you can walk to
This was a huge disappointment of a booking. We were only the staying the one night, and leaving our car there to go to the airport. When we got there, the room was so cold, my mum had to leave her coat on for most of the night. We opened the curtains to try to get some light in the room, only to discover, single pane glass, thus making it colder. Our wake up call never came through . When I questioned it at the front desk, I was told, "well, I sent it, I guess it didn't work". The beds were comfy enough, but the bathroom.. well, I would not shower in there . There are many hotels in Richmond where you can park and fly. I would suggest looking for another one.
The primary advantage of this hotel is its excellent location. It is conveniently situated near a WIDE variety of restaurants and shops! However, the main drawback of our stay was the cleanliness of the room. The bathtub appeared dirty, there were visible stains on the duvet cover and chair, there was noticeable dust on the TV stand and side table . Additionally, the room had a very strong scent of some type of cleaning product. On a positive note, the staff were kind and helpful, and the price was reasonable for the area. Overall, while the location is a significant benefit, improvements in cleanliness would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Great location & great customer service. Left our car for 8 days while we went to Mexico. ($13.55 per day). They do charge you for overnight parking with your room if you book through a 3rd party website and not booking directly through the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, lots of restaurants around and large mall across the street. The airport shuttle drop off & pick up is on the departures level, next to doors #5, and run every 1/2 hour. Will definitely stay again.
I should’ve trust the Google ratings instead of giving it a try. Definitely not coming back here are the reasons: 1. Low sanitary conditions including the washroom and the hallway (you can’t imagine the situation at the water/coffee machine in the lobby, it is free but fine, if you’d like to provide convenience for your guests, at least clean it regularly. 2. Showering might take you an hour because the water pressure is so low. Frustrating…… 3. Lights in the room is broken (two of them…..) 4. The only reason I choose this hotel is they provide shuttle bus, however, they are not on time!!!! Not just me but other travelers were also waiting at the airport for 50mins while being told that their schedule is every 30 mins. Totally not worth trying overall.
We arrived at 3:30. Check in is 4pm. Check out is 11am.They advertise parking- but you pay for parking. $5.00 for a small bottle of coke. They will not accept cash for commissary purchases. The buffet is a joke. You must pre pay at reception, then go to restaurant. They have no hot food out. You must pay 1st then they will bring out hot eggs. You do not even know what they have to offer at the buffet. When I asked I truly could not understand what the server was saying. Ice machine on our floor is out of order. The bed was comfy...the duvet is between the small sheets. The person at reception made me feel unwelcome with her way of talking to me.
We loved this place. Room, location, lobby, shuttle, and excellent customer service. Huge shout out to Aloka and Kamika (I hope I spelled your names right). They went above and beyond and we were blown away by their customer service. Overall very comfortable and clean hotel, comfy beds and super hot water. Despite other comments, we thought it smelled lovely in the hotel and the hallways.
This place is reasonably priced, close to the airport, surrounded by amazing food, has a covered smoking section, and parking. The lobby is really nice and had a little bar and breakfast buffet in the morning. The staff is extremely nice, and there is a complimentary shuttle. The room had a king size bed and great pillows, and the bathroom is recently renovated. My only complaints are that the hallways are very heavily perfumed, I’m guessing because the carpet is visibly a bit old, wouldn’t recommend for anyone with scent sensitivities, and our room needs deep clean but otherwise, great value esp if you’re doing a layover.
I stay at this hotel every time I visit Vancouver. It used to be ok but this time, they charge extra for parking. The shower has the lowest water pressure I have ever experienced in the world! The water is so weak it cannot rinse a single hair off my hand! I choose this hotel mainly for its location. Next time, I will definitely book another hotel. After a long flight, I really think a good shower means everything. The bed is ok though. That's why I gave a 2 stars rating.
If you’re looking for a place to stay close to the airport, this hotel definitely fits the bill — and they even offer a convenient shuttle service. There’s plenty of parking available (for an additional fee), and the customer service is genuinely outstanding — staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. That said, the facilities could use some updates. The bathroom sink faucet is comically small, making it nearly impossible to use without splashing water everywhere. The towel rack is placed just inches from the toilet, which feels a bit awkward. The bedding setup could also be improved — instead of a proper duvet cover, the blanket is simply sandwiched between two sheets, which isn’t very comfortable or hygienic. Oh and the peep hole on the door somehow beems a straigh laser like light at night, so you gotta cover it, otherwise it will keep you up all night. Another minor annoyance: there’s no master switch for the lights, so you have to walk around the room to turn each lamp on or off individually. And finally, the bathroom “barn-style” sliding door doesn’t offer much in the way of privacy. Overall, it’s a convenient choice for travelers catching an early flight, but the room design and amenities could definitely use a refresh.
