The Grand Park Vancouver Airport Hotel receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its convenient location near the airport and helpful staff, while others report cleanliness issues, inconsistent shuttle service, and unpleasant smells. While several reviewers highlight positive interactions with front desk staff, concerns about room conditions and the overall guest experience persist.

It echoed in the front lobby and I found that a little cool. Also there's a coffee machine but I don't drink coffee. Floor was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. But I had to wake up at 4 AM and that sucked. That had nothing to do with the hotel though.

Very disappointing experience — I would not recommend this hotel I stayed here for several nights, and unfortunately, there were many issues throughout my stay. The public restroom on the first floor was not cleaned for three days. Near the main entrance and front desk, I saw several rats. They were so close to the entrance that it looked like they could come inside at any moment. The free coffee provided was Costco-brand coffee. The breakfast buffet was $20, but the menu was exactly the same every day. Some of the items listed on the menu, such as yogurt and omelets, were not even available. All of the TVs installed in the common area on the first floor were turned off. Perhaps this is a way to reduce expenses. There was also only one elevator operating. Another thing that stood out was the attitude of some employees. Whenever I passed employees in the hotel, I frequently saw them walking around while using their phones and listening to music through earphones while working. This did not give me a professional impression. I also experienced a double charge. I had already paid through Booking.com, but the hotel charged me again. I spoke with the front desk about it, but there was no apology or meaningful explanation. The condition of the room was also very disappointing. The room was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. The pillowcases smelled strongly of spices, and there was a strong body odor coming from underneath the bed. The bathroom mirror was cracked. The shower did not have an anti-slip mat, which made it feel unsafe. The shelves were worn and deteriorated, and the bedside lamps on the left and right sides were completely different types. There was also a lot of dust around the windows. Overall, the room gave me the feeling of being inside a haunted house. I also noticed that cleaning staff were cleaning without wearing gloves, which was concerning from a hygiene perspective. Based on my experience, I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. However, since Halloween season is coming up, if you’re looking for a truly strange and creepy experience… ? this might be the place for you!

I’d like to begin by saying that the front desk employee who assisted us on our first night did everything he could to help. He was polite, understanding, and explained that housekeeping was no longer available that late in the evening. This complaint is not directed at him, as he was limited by what he was able to do. Our concern is with the condition of the room and how the situation was handled afterward. When we entered our room, we immediately noticed that the bed sheets were visibly stained. We went downstairs because we were not comfortable sleeping in a bed with stained bedding. Since housekeeping had already left, the front desk employee brought replacement sheets to our room. Unfortunately, the replacement sheets were also stained. We also found multiple hairs on the bedding. As we looked around the room further, we noticed stained window blinds and very dirty carpets throughout the room. We have photographs documenting all of these issues, including both sets of stained sheets. To make matters worse, we had to be awake at 5:00 AM for an early flight. Instead of getting the rest we needed, we spent our evening inspecting the room, speaking with the front desk, waiting for replacement bedding, and remaking the bed ourselves. Before we left, we were told that someone would contact us at 9:00 AM to resolve the situation. When no one reached out, I called the hotel myself, only to be told that the manager would not be back for another two weeks. This was extremely frustrating, as it directly contradicted what we had been told the night before and left us feeling as though we were simply being passed along without anyone taking ownership of the issue. The experience that morning was made even worse by the way we were treated. Unlike the front desk employee from the previous evening, who was kind and genuinely tried to help, the front desk employee we spoke with in the morning was unfriendly, dismissive, and showed little concern for what we had experienced. After everything that had already happened, this lack of customer service was incredibly disappointing. To add to the frustration, the airport shuttle also arrived approximately 10 minutes late, creating unnecessary stress when we were already trying to make an early flight. This isn’t about one stain or one isolated issue. It’s about multiple cleanliness concerns throughout the room, replacement bedding that was also stained, hairs on the bedding, dirty blinds, dirty carpets, inconsistent communication from hotel staff, poor customer service the following morning, and additional inconvenience caused by the late shuttle. We are not looking for a generic apology stating that this room “fell short of expectations.” We would like to understand: * How did a room in this condition pass inspection and get released to guests? * Why were replacement sheets also stained? * Why were we told someone would contact us at 9:00 AM, only to later be told the manager would not be available for two weeks? * What specific steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to future guests? * What resolution do you believe is appropriate given everything that occurred? We appreciate the professionalism and effort of the front desk employee who helped us on our first night. Unfortunately, every other aspect of this experience—from the cleanliness of the room to the communication afterward—fell well below what we expected. We hope your response addresses each of these concerns directly rather than providing a standard, generic reply.

We stayed 3 nights and were excited about this hotel. The moment we entered in the lobby, there was a strong bad smell. I don't understand how the staff members did not feel it. The smell felt like coming from carpets not cleaned for decades. Same story for our room, the floor carpet was super dirty as if it had never been cleaned. We were out the whole time and no one came to clean our room. We did not put the privacy sign on. Overall the hotel was not cheap at all, I would certainly not recommend staying there.

This is by far the worst hotel. I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my refund request. I accidentally made a duplicate reservation for the same hotel on the same dates and realized the mistake within hours of booking. I immediately contacted customer service and requested cancellation of one of the reservations. My check-in was scheduled for the very next day, meaning the hotel had ample notice and would not have incurred any preparation or occupancy loss for the cancelled room. However, I was informed that, according to the hotel's policy, no refund would be provided. The reservations in question are: Itinerary #73478393020473 Itinerary #73480044016666 I fully understand that cancellation policies exist to protect hotels from lost revenue when guests cancel legitimate reservations. However, this situation involves an honest mistake resulting in a duplicate booking of the same property for the same dates. I was not attempting to cancel my entire stay—only the duplicate reservation that was made in error. Given the circumstances and the promptness of my cancellation request, I believe a full refund for the duplicate booking would be both reasonable and fair. Not recommending this hotel as the dont care about customer service.

Stayed here one night before heading to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by the property. It was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great. Most comfortable hotel bed I think I've ever had.

Location is great, airport shuttle was very convenient! Rooms had some cleanliness issues, particularly with the towels and one of the rooms was missing toilet paper. Our keys also all got cancelled after 1 night, when we were paying for 2 nights. The person signing us in also signed us up for 2 memberships against my consent, as I had declined it on the tablet during check in. He had fraudulently asked me for my email and phone number, and was unclear about why he needed it, then took another email on the list when I showed him my accounts and told him to just use the top one. The other email he took happened to be linked to work, which is inappropriate to use for this matter. I am sure the other check-in counter staff were professional, but this fraudulent behavior is very concerning from an employee that represents this hotel. Please be aware when you check-in, of this kind of behavior.

I've drove by this hotel many times and always wanted to book a stay. The exterior and lobby looks grand. The room condition has room for improvement. The curtains has food stains, the in-room phone to call front desk does not work, low water pressure for the sink and shower. Asides from the location being excellent and the complimentary shuttle to the airport, which was on time and the driver was courteous. It's fine for a short one night stay.

Room was clean and comfortable. It was very hot/stuffy when I came in as the AC was off but it cooled off pretty quickly once it was turned back on. It was very loud everytime it clicked on throughout the night, so I did not get a good night sleep. The front desk team was polite and helpful with baggage storage. Good location to be able to walk to Walmart, Marshalls, Winners, Lansdowne Centre, etc. They also had a decent selection of snacks available for purchase near the front desk. The front desk was able to let me check in early thankfully (4pm check in seems quite late). However the breakfast was not good, it was very basic - eggs, bacon, pancakes, muffins/pastries that looked stale, cereal, expired yogurt and bruised fruit. Pretty sure you’re not supposed to serve yogurt that expired exactly 1 month ago. Not worth $20 a person. Other than that, my hotel stay was fine.

Very big thank you to Sharn who let me in an hour early for a day use room. I appreciate the quality of care. Hotel was quite nice and super close to the airport. Shuttle services were very convenient and the area is safe with lots of services and amenities nearby that you can walk to
