La Quinta Inn Vancouver Airport offers a convenient location near the airport and Richmond's dining scene, with generally positive guest feedback. However, reviews highlight issues with noise, inconsistent breakfast quality, and occasionally dated room amenities. While cleanliness and staff are often praised, certain rooms can exhibit maintenance concerns.
Didn't sleep a wink! I will never stay here again...the hotel literally has airplanes flying lowly over you all night as the airport is a few blocks away. In our room we turned on the bathroom fan and it never shut off unitl I finally couldn't take it anymore and unplugged the power supply to the fan. Then after the fan noise was gone I could tell what other nosies the hotel was hiding. I think there must be water lines running through our room because every time on of the other guests used the water we could hear it rushing through our room. Also could hear that the noisy fan was drowning out the elevator noise. If that wasn't bad enough the toilet kept running randomly all night and you can hear other people in adjoining rooms relieving themselves in their toilet and dropping items on the floor which seems to travel all the way through the hotel. We tried to walk around to find something to eat at a sit down restaurant but no luck there either. Every restaurant here served the same Asian cuisine. Not like one restaurant here and another down the block...no...the entirety of the length of the strip malls surrounding the hotel...Asian food...restaurant after restaurant of endless Asian food! Lets not talk about the traffic getting in and out. I was supposed to attend a celebration of life today but now I'm so wiped out from staying here that we are leaving as soon as we can. One last thing about this location. Not a beer and wine store anywhere and apparently they don't allow dispensaries in Richmond so we had to waste time and drive to another city to find that as well. Unbelievable!
Housekeeper service every day, the bathroom is well cleaned like we never used each night we come back. They also provide water and coffee 24 hours in front desk, big convenience.
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport and local spots in Richmond, and it didn’t disappoint. The free hot breakfast and WiFi were great perks that made our stay much easier. It's a solid, modern choice if you're looking for a comfortable place to stay before heading out to explore more of BC.
Excellent location with many restaurants and shopping centers nearby. The beds were a bit small for two adults, but the cleaning service was good. My only complaint was that the rooms didn't have microwaves and the refrigerator was very small. Everything else was very good. The continental breakfast was quite complete, and the pool and jacuzzi were great.
The front desk people and all crew are very nice and helpful! You got what you paid for. The lobby is clean and quiet. There is a cute swimming pool and a mini gym. Location is great, walkable to a lot of Chinese food.
Not terrible but not great. Stayed here for a night for my daughters birthday weekend and was ok at best. The rooms were fine enough but dirty under the hideabed and the king bed was quite hard. Hot tub was great, powerful jets and good temperature but pool was a little on the warm side though. Staff didnt accommodate my request for a birthday greeting for my daughter but thats not a deal breaker. However, the front desk was a little rude when I asked for an extra blanket. Elevator is extremely slow, better off taking the stairs. The continental breakfast was downright terrible! All of the pastries except the muffins were quite stale and the yogurt served was past its expiry by a day. The meat served was straight up Swedish meatballs. Quite an odd breakfast item if you ask me. Better off skipping this breakfast. Overall it was alright. Mostly clean but breakfast could use an overhaul
Clean rooms, clean fitness centre and decent size pool. Breakfast is included but the options aren’t great. On my last visit they had eggs and sausage, but now they’ve reduced to it bread and pastries. Keep that in mind when booking. Also bring ear plugs due to airplanes flying by.
The hotel was exceptionally well maintained and clean. The rooms are excellent and cleaned daily. The hotel staff are friendly and respectful. The breakfast is good, however including eggs will be welcome for guests.
LaQuinta at YVR airport was a pleasant experience. Everyone among the staff was friendly and courteous. They went over and beyond to make the stay great. My flight arrived much earlier than scheduled. When I arrived (it was new years eve), the staff were having a NY party. Even then they made sure I was able to checkin almost an hour before. The front office staff were super friendly. They helped me print my documents. The person checking me out even made sure I had all my bags. The breakfast was normal to any LaQuinta. There were cereals and muffins, breads,Croissants, fruits, Fresh coffee and self-made pancake and toppings. There were no egg or sausage/ bacon. Fruits juices, milk and tea were available. There were no dairy alternatives available. That aside, the view is amazing from mountain facing rooms.
La Quinta Inn is in a great location if you’re looking for Asian food—especially Chinese cuisine—with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is simple, and check?in was straightforward, though it still took about 5–10 minutes to complete despite having done online check?in the day before. Possibly the staff member was new??? The hotel offers free parking, but you do need to pick up a parking pass from the front desk. A complimentary breakfast is also provided. Noise isolation is definitely an issue. Airplanes flying overhead were loud, and during my stay a child was playing floor hockey in the hallway, which added even more noise to the evening. If the soundproofing were better, I would easily give this place another star. On the positive side, the room was clean and I didn’t notice any signs of bedbugs. However, the hotel overall doesn’t seem to be well maintained. In my room, the swing?bar lock was broken and hadn’t been replaced.
