La Quinta Inn Vancouver Airport offers solid value and a prime location near the airport for those prioritizing convenience over luxury. Guests consistently praise the proactive and friendly staff, scrupulously clean rooms, and great proximity to Asian restaurants. However, travelers should prepare for basic facilities, including limited or repetitive breakfast options, and potential noise from aircraft and hallway activity.
The front desk people and all crew are very nice and helpful! You got what you paid for. The lobby is clean and quiet. There is a cute swimming pool and a mini gym. Location is great, walkable to a lot of Chinese food.
Not terrible but not great. Stayed here for a night for my daughters birthday weekend and was ok at best. The rooms were fine enough but dirty under the hideabed and the king bed was quite hard. Hot tub was great, powerful jets and good temperature but pool was a little on the warm side though. Staff didnt accommodate my request for a birthday greeting for my daughter but thats not a deal breaker. However, the front desk was a little rude when I asked for an extra blanket. Elevator is extremely slow, better off taking the stairs. The continental breakfast was downright terrible! All of the pastries except the muffins were quite stale and the yogurt served was past its expiry by a day. The meat served was straight up Swedish meatballs. Quite an odd breakfast item if you ask me. Better off skipping this breakfast. Overall it was alright. Mostly clean but breakfast could use an overhaul
Clean rooms, clean fitness centre and decent size pool. Breakfast is included but the options aren’t great. On my last visit they had eggs and sausage, but now they’ve reduced to it bread and pastries. Keep that in mind when booking. Also bring ear plugs due to airplanes flying by.
The hotel was exceptionally well maintained and clean. The rooms are excellent and cleaned daily. The hotel staff are friendly and respectful. The breakfast is good, however including eggs will be welcome for guests.
LaQuinta at YVR airport was a pleasant experience. Everyone among the staff was friendly and courteous. They went over and beyond to make the stay great. My flight arrived much earlier than scheduled. When I arrived (it was new years eve), the staff were having a NY party. Even then they made sure I was able to checkin almost an hour before. The front office staff were super friendly. They helped me print my documents. The person checking me out even made sure I had all my bags. The breakfast was normal to any LaQuinta. There were cereals and muffins, breads,Croissants, fruits, Fresh coffee and self-made pancake and toppings. There were no egg or sausage/ bacon. Fruits juices, milk and tea were available. There were no dairy alternatives available. That aside, the view is amazing from mountain facing rooms.
La Quinta Inn is in a great location if you’re looking for Asian food—especially Chinese cuisine—with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is simple, and check?in was straightforward, though it still took about 5–10 minutes to complete despite having done online check?in the day before. Possibly the staff member was new??? The hotel offers free parking, but you do need to pick up a parking pass from the front desk. A complimentary breakfast is also provided. Noise isolation is definitely an issue. Airplanes flying overhead were loud, and during my stay a child was playing floor hockey in the hallway, which added even more noise to the evening. If the soundproofing were better, I would easily give this place another star. On the positive side, the room was clean and I didn’t notice any signs of bedbugs. However, the hotel overall doesn’t seem to be well maintained. In my room, the swing?bar lock was broken and hadn’t been replaced.
We had the best experience staying in this hotel. It is not one of the spacious ones but is neat, clean, warm, and friendly, and everything made us feel like we were at home. The staff are friendly, and the room and public areas, including the breakfast section, are clean. We can tell the owner and the staff are trying their best to operate this hotel. We'll be sure to come back next time visiting Vancouver.
By far the nicest experience we've had while we were staying at multiple hotels the last two months in the Vancouver area. The service was extremely exceptional, a great complimentary breakfast, the market provided in the hotel was awesome. The only thing we that could they could improve was the temperature of the hottub. Excellent hotel for the cost.
I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN...EVER! Average rooms and the location is pretty close to the airport. Nothing extravagant, but not bad. Where this hotel truly FAILS HARD, is in their customer service. I was awake for over 24 hours from a delayed flight which resulted with me missing my connecting flight. After 6 hours trapped at the airport trying to rebook my flight, I was made aware I'll be stuck in Vancouver for 2 nights. I booked this hotel for those 2 nights, but unfortunately because it was already 4am, I couldn't book for that morning, and their check in time is 3pm. But what else can I do right? So, I took a taxi to the hotel and asked for an early check in. First, the front desk girl argued with me that I'm there too early and can't be there yet. She wanted me to wander around Vancouver with my backpack and luggage for 5 hours after being awake 24 hours. They eventually agreed to charge me for an early check in, which I'll gladly pay to get some sleep. They said it would be 10am at the earliest but possibly a check in time of noon. Because of the wait, I wanted to sit in the lobby waiting with my luggage, where else could I go really, right? Well they didn't care, the front desk staff tried to refuse me sitting there regardless of the fact I have their hotel booked for 2 nights. After she talked to the manager 1hr later she said I can stay there. So I politely thanked her. At 6am their breakfast opened. I hadn't eaten for about 12 hrs, so I grabbed a cookie. I was instantly approached, I didn't even have the first bite in my mouth for 5 seconds, and was told I'm not allowed to eat because my check in isn't until 10am at the earliest. I've never been treated so poorly after giving a business $300. I understand there are rules, but to treat a paying customer like an unwanted vagrant, is unacceptable. This will be my first and last time ever staying here. I regret ever choosing this hotel.
except for the barking dog next door we had a pleasant stay in this hotel clean & complete ammenities bed & pillows are comfy. Continental breakfast was sumptuous and you can have hot coffee/ drinks all day. Staff were efficient Worth the $$ we paid for. exceeded our expectations
