The Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel receives mixed reviews, highlighting both excellent service and concerns regarding room quality and inconsistent service. Recent feedback emphasizes the helpfulness of specific staff members like Heather and Andrea, but also cites issues such as outdated rooms and shuttle service disruptions. Despite a few drawbacks, many guests appreciate the convenient location and airport shuttle.
Die hard Marriott consumer. This hotel is not your typical airport hotel. The staff go above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be. Rooms are tired. Service makes up for this. As an elite member you do get breakfast complimentary and a drink and appetizer in the afternoon. I'd rather stay at the Marriott but it's personal preference. You can't go wrong but just expect older rooms
Our company has hosted our annual 200-guest luncheon at this hotel for the past three years. We returned year after year because of the quality we once expected, but after our experience on March 22nd, we are deeply disappointed. The standards have noticeably slipped. Unprofessional Management: The most frustrating part of the day was the attitude of the Banquet Captain. Our team arrived early to ensure everything was ready for our guests. When we requested a pot of coffee for our hardworking staff, the Captain was dismissive and impatient. Instead of a professional "let me see what I can do," his first response was a sharp "No," stating that coffee wouldn't be ready until 12:00 PM and they "didn't have time" for us. He then added that if we wanted it earlier, it would be $6.50 per cup. This wasn't about the cost; it was about the total lack of respect and hospitality shown to a loyal corporate client. Execution & Service Issues: During the luncheon, the execution was subpar: • Food Temperature: For a group of 200, we understand the logistical challenges, but the lunch was served almost cold, which was disappointing for our guests. • Beverage Service: The coffee service during the meal was a mess. Many pots were left empty on the tables. Our guests were forced to constantly flag down staff to ask for refills, and even then, it took a very long time for more coffee to be brought out. We couldn’t tell if this was due to a severe staffing shortage or simply a lack of organization. Final Thoughts: As a returning client, we expected the same level of professional care we received in the past. Instead, we felt ignored and disrespected. It is a shame to see such a reputable hotel lose its touch with service. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into the training of their banquet leadership, as we are now reconsidering our venue choice for next year.
Great sevice hotel. Comfortable. Expecially I thank for RUBY who is manager here. When I got in trouble. She was very helpful and support me. She was very kind. I was touched. Again Thank you RUBY.
I had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, and the exceptional staff truly made the experience stand out. At the front desk, Andrea and Miguel were welcoming and efficient. Manpreet, the doorman, was friendly and attentive. A special shout-out to John, the doorman, who went above and beyond to help me with my luggage—his kindness made arrival and departure completely stress-free. Dining was excellent. Alan, overseeing interim dining, provided outstanding service, and Namdida made breakfast a pleasure. At Harold’s, Yvonne was a fantastic server, with Kori and Nandani ensuring everything ran smoothly. Thank you as well to Marvin, the Duty Manager, whose leadership and care for guests were clearly evident. Overall, a comfortable hotel with an incredible team. I highly recommend the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel and would gladly stay agai due to the A+ Team!!
Due to a cancelled flight at YVR, I ended up with the airline shuttling me to the Sheraton Vancouver Airport for the night. The staff here are amazing-- every one that I had contact with (from front desk staff, restaurant, cleaning, lobby) went out of their way to be helpful and were genuinely friendly. This was particularly impressive in that they had very little notice that around 80 rooms were suddenly getting booked and would be filled with unhappy travelers who did not want to be there. The room was nice, clean, quiet, good individual control of temperature/air. Also a great area for food! Richmond is full of great little restaurants.
As someone who stays frequently at Marriott properties for work, I generally have high expectations for consistency and service—especially at airport hotels where timing and logistics matter. During our recent stay at the Vancouver Sheraton Airport Hotel, we had a disappointing experience with the airport shuttle service. While traveling with my wife, our 7-month-old baby, and our four-year-old, we were clearly hustling through the lobby to catch the shuttle, managing car seats, a stroller, and luggage. The shuttle driver was in the lobby and visibly noticed us approaching, then hurried outside to the shuttle. Unfortunately, instead of waiting to assist or ensure we were able to board, the driver started the shuttle and began pulling away just as we reached the rear to load. My wife and I had to yell to have the shuttle stopped. Once outside, we were scolded that the shuttle departs at 5:30 sharp because it is shared with other hotels—which is completely understandable. What was not understandable was the lack of basic customer awareness or assistance. When traveling with young children, car seats, and strollers, a small amount of help or patience makes a significant difference. Rather than rushing to leave a young family behind at the shuttle door, a brief pause to assist with loading would have reflected far better on the hotel’s service standards. Leaving a family in that situation—at the bus, actively boarding—demonstrates a concerning lack of customer service. As a loyal Marriott guest, this experience was disappointing enough that it has genuinely turned me off from choosing this property again.
I stayed at Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel before a morning flight, and it was a really solid choice for a quick trip. The free airport shuttle made getting to and from Vancouver International Airport easy and stress-free. I just waited in the lobby for the scheduled shuttle and it dropped me off right at the terminal. There were a few nice extras that made the visit easier. The outdoor pool and hot tub were ready to use if you want to relax before a flight, and the fitness centre was open 24 hours so I could fit in a quick workout. I also liked that there was a Starbucks in the lobby when I wanted coffee in the morning.
I stayed here because my flight was cancelled and honestly, I was very disappointed with the room I got. The bathroom was an old style with no bathtub but the floor with tiles that’s connected to the toilet. Which is fine. But the drain didn’t work at all and it almost became a swimming pool. Andrea was so helpful and kind and she gave me a different room and honestly it’s because of her I am giving an extra star. I really do not want to stay here again. Not worth it. I’ll pay a bit more to stay at fairmont.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, professionalism, and outstanding hospitality. The hotel itself is elegant, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect place for both relaxation and celebration. Le Petit Chef was truly the highlight of our stay.
