The Steveston Hotel offers a charming, historic stay in a convenient location within the village of Steveston, close to Vancouver and Fisherman’s Wharf. While praised for its friendly staff and good value, recent reviews highlight issues with cleanliness, outdated amenities, and occasional service inconsistencies.
Grand old hotel very good for the price. Great location and good on site Cafe for breakfast. Excellent helpful staff.Only downside the paper thin bath towels need replacing please.
Front staff are super lovely and helpful and it great location in a quiet village with trails along the water, close enough to Vancouver to go in for the day by bus but far enough that you return to a quiet kind of peace after. Server at the café is also an awesome human who really creates that local hub feel.
Hotel staff was rude upon check in. Definitely not a welcoming place to rest. We felt like we were inconveniencing them. In the morning they called the room at 11:05 to remind us that they already told us checkout was at 11. We were just walking out the door... The carpets are old and dusty, allergy inducing. The closet door was really dirty and half painted. Baseboards were dirty. Lamp didnt work. Not a great experience overall. Won't stay there again. Fisherman's Warf is only a block away and the neighborhood has cute stores and a great coffee shop! Lovely neighborhood.
Big thank you to Andy the manager for looking after us on a recent stay. We love the hotels location in a wonderful village atmosphere. Staff are kind and polite. We look forward to future stays.
I love in Steveston and went there for breakfast this morning! And the place apparently had a fire on roof, the had no heat! I froze so I won't be returning to eat there!
The Steveston was a great option given the price and location in relation to Vancouver. The front desk staff was nice and the onsite parking is one less worry to have during traveling. Overall, it was a nice stay. My issues came in during settling in. I got one of the rooms with a jacuzzi included, and when filling it, the water had these brown specks floating throughout. Most likely from the pipes. So I did not take the plunge. The windows are also not sound proof, and my room being right above the bar, you can imagine how the chatter from conversations outside bleeds through. I would say overall The Steveston is a 4 star experience as you pay for such. I would stay here again knowing what I know but would caution those looking for a luxurious stay that this isn’t it. But it is still worth it.
Great spot for breakfast or lunch , still has the good ole steveston charm. don’t mind the old mugs , it’s part of the charm :) the waitress has been there forever and is a real gem
Breakfast down stairs was the best. Go for the $10 meal! Hotel staff friendly. It was more than what I expected. This place is walkable to pier and all the shops
Loved this place. Staff was funny and friendly. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the a/c worked great. It's just a simple old historic little hotel. No bells or whistles but a great location. We will stay here again.
This hotel is a GREAT location. Walking distance to everything in Steveston. This is a more convenient location than the only other hotel in town. The only downfall was 2 of our 5 mornings, we had no hot water :( they said they had boiler issues. It is an 1895 hotel, but if they are having that many problems with hot water, they should upgrade it. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were a little outdated. Bathrooms were great, but they had old 90s curtains and brass ceiling fans. Could use a little updating. Overall, great experience at this hotel and we very much enjoyed the Steveston area :)
